NACTON CRICKET HISTORY PART 2

  

  1987

  The Bi-Centenary celebrations are held. An Invitation XI made up out of a number of local teams play to honour the event.

  1993

  Nacton are Runners Up in the Suffolk Alliance League cup.

  1995

  Nacton are Suffolk Alliance League Section D Champions and promoted.

1995 also marks the 50th year that Max Ralph had been involved with the club. The BBC were invited to attend and reporter Mike Liggins, joined in a spoof match to celebrate the amazing achievement.

  1998

 Nacton reach their highest league position ever in the Suffolk Alliance, finishing  Runners Up in Section A.

  2006

Joined the Two Counties League Division 8 and won the league the first season moving up to Division 7 in 2007,when their league status was retained.

The league matches are now mainly on Saturday with Sundays being kept free for an extensive range of friendly fixtures.
